Rev. Dwayne Wise

     Dwayne has served as Associate Pastor of Alamo Heights since February 1999. He grew up in Bloomington and Victoria, graduated as a Victoria High School Stingaree in 1966. Dwayne attended Victoria College and graduated from Baylor University, with a Bachelor of Music Education degree. He came to Alamo Heights as Music and Education Minister; but as a result of a partnership with Trinity Shores Senior Living Facility beginning in 2007, he now serves as a half-time Associate Minister of Senior Adults, Outreach and Music at AHBC and half-time Chaplain at Trinity Shores. 

     Dwayne has served in a number of churches in Austin, San Antonio, Laredo, and Edna for over forty years. He has been a member of the Singing Men of South Texas since it’s foundation in 1974. Dwayne and Monica have six children and six grandchildren. Monica is a retired school librarian and teacher.
 
 
 
 

Mrs. Adele Hamelwright

     Adele served as Youth Pastor at Alamo Heights Baptist Church from January 1995-August 2000 and has now returned to that position.  Adele has been in youth ministry for 28 years which includes serving as Youth Pastor at First Baptist Church of Florence, TX; Youth Coordinator/Youth Minister of Partners In Ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas Eastern Convocation; Youth Coordinator of a Lay Renewal Team and Youth Coordinator for an Experiencing God Team for the Baptist General Convention of Texas.  Adele has volunteered and worked with many organizations in Calhoun County and also works for Calhoun County Independent School District.   

     Adele grew up in Wichita Falls, TX where she graduated from S.H. Rider High School in 1980 and attended Midwestern State University.  While attending school in Wichita Falls, she met her husband, Doug Hamelwright.  They have been married for 31 years and have 3 sons (Doug, Jr., Jason, and Christopher), 2 daughter-in-laws (Erin and Candice), and 2 grandchildren (Edyn and Trinton). Doug is the Head Band Director at Travis Middle School.

      Barbara Fox has lived in Point Comfort/Port Lavaca all of her life.  She is married to Michael Fox, going on 28 years and has two boys ages 12 and 11, Sammy being the oldest and Adam the youngest.
